Bear Mountain Fall Foliage Oktoberfest Cruise Circle Line

3. These tickets sell out quick. I had to get them a few months in advance
4. I used Goldstar to get a discount. It's $50 a piece, but with goldstar, there's a service fee. In ends up not being that much cheaper than the full ticket price.
5. With Goldstar, I had to go to will call to get the tickets an hour in advance of the trip, and a half hour before boarding.
6. People drink a lot of beer on this trip. THeir wine is only little bottles of Gallo.
7. It's a three hour trip up the river, then three hours at Bear Mountain, then three hours back down
8. At Bear Mountain, there's a small zoo, but the main attraction is lunch at the Bear Mountain Inn. THe restaurant is on the second floor. It's called Restaurant 1915.
9. It is a large rustic stone building with mooseheads on the wall.
10. The food was buffet and was very good, and reasonably priced. You have to bug the wait stiff to bring alcohol, which is extra of course.
11. It's at the port for Circle Line. We took the path to 33rd and walked there. Getting there at 8:30 seemed not to be a problem.
12. They sell food on the boat, even breakfast, which I bought a bacon egg and cheese because I forgot to eat before leaving the house. But we didn't buy anything else. Instead we ate at the restuarant, but we've heard the food on the boat is good, too.
